Y'all Are Using The Psychology Term "Gaslighting" Wrong!

Nowadays all lies are being called Gaslighting.

Gaslighting is NOT simple lying.

Gaslighting is sadistic and mentally abusive!

These are what it means...

1. Gaslighting is doing things in a persons environment so that they think they are going crazy.

Examples: A man can gaslight his wife, by getting up at 3am to move her car to a different spot in the parking lot, so that she will start feeling crazy. Gaslighting comes from a movie, where the hubby dimmed the homes Gaslights in all the rooms so his wife started going crazy.

2. Gaslighting, is when another person tells you something false about yourself or a situation to skew your memory so you doubt yourself and think you are going crazy, so they can make you feel crazy and they can better control you. 

Example: A Narcissistic Mother tells her Scapegoated daughter that she cant get her drivers license at 16 like her Goldenchild sister had, because, as the Mother said, "I know you, if someone cuts you off, you will hunt them down and crash into them".... The Mother is trying to control the daughter by making her believe shes violent and out of control, because the Mother doesnt want the Scapegoated daughter to get her license so she cant have any freedom cause, freedom means the Mother wont have any control. Meanwhile the Goldenchild Daughter is Turfing Lawns (in the Mothers car) and dealing drugs and beating up the Scapegoated Daughter and the Scapegoated Daughter is actually shy and passive. So what happens is the Scapegoated Daughter grows up thinking shes Evil, Violent and Cant Control herself.

So as you see its not just lying.. Its deeper, much deeper. 

Its not about LYING, its about a concerted effort to make the other person think they are crazy and so they can be easier controlled. Its much more then simple lying.

A man who lies about cheating on his wife, or hides a gambling issue is NOT gaslighting. 

Blake Lively isnt Gaslighting anyone in the public by lying about Justin. Shes just LYING. In order for her to gaslight ME, shed have to tell ME something about ME that isnt true to make me doubt my perception of myself. Blake is a cunt and shes only gaslighting Justin.
