How To Fix Your Computer AND Protect Yourself Online (Most of the time!)

 When you get a new computer delete the Nortons, Symantec or McAfees antivirus already on it.
Download
Firefox
Opera
and 
Chrome
And install AdBlockPlus on all 
AdBlock for Firefox
AdBlock for Opera
AdBlock for Chrome 
And install AdBlock Plus for Microsoft Edge 
 
There are also 3 other adblocks , uBlock, Ghostery, Adblock Ultimate

Protect Yourself Online

1)
Never use your real name on the internet ANYWHERE unless you are buying something from eBay or Amazon or shops.
2)
Set up one account with your fake internet name and only use it for internet postings, twitter, facebook etc...
3)
Then set up one with your real name and only use it for for business purposes, like Amazon and paypal.
4)
Use each in separate browsers ALWAYS TO AVOID ACCIDENTALLY using one for the other.
5)
If you want to join Facebook to communicate with your family, make up a funny name and then put up all your privacy blocks and do not post pics
6)
Remove your real name and all internet names from SnitchName, Spokeo, PeekYou, ZabaSearch and Pipl.com its free to remove your names. Use Reputation.com
7)
If you are online on chat, or message boards NEVER talk about where you go to school, where you work or stores or landmarks that are within 3 miles of your house. (Example: dont tell people “BRB Im going across the street to the TacoBell” stalkers will be able to find you by what you say. Instead just go to Taco Bell without announcing it.
8)
NEVER ANNOUNCE ON SOCIAL MEDIA WHERE YOU ARE GOING OR IF YOU ARE LEAVING YOUR HOUSE. People watch accounts and then can rob your home.
9)
If you MUST make a Social Media account with your real name do not post party pics, or other wild pics to it. Make a whole other account with a fake name to post those if you MUST.
10)
DONT POST SEXUAL PICTURES ON THE INTERNET OR SEND THEM TO BOYFRIENDS!
11)
Install Adblock Plus on ALL your browsers. Keep all AntiVirus software updated, scan often.
12)
If you have sexy or party pics online RIGHT NOW delete them all. REMOVE everything questionable.
13)
If you had a website with crazy self incriminating content or pics, DELETE IT! Then search for it on The Wayback Machine (http://archive.org/web/) and ask them to remove all traces.

Turn off location on Twitter, Google Plus, FourSquare and Facebook.

Never open email from people you do not know
17)
Dont believe what anyone on the internet tells you.
18)
Do not send money to people on the internet, no matter how sad their stories are or how much you like them.
19)
If you are going to share pics do it in email ONLY with only close friends.
20)
Dont post pics with you in your school team sweatshirt.
21)
Dont use the “Friends Around You” app that lets people know where you are.
22)
Dont use the same name that people know you on the net as on any sensitive sites, like Medical Sites where you ask personal questions. Or to post on Dating Sites.
23)
If you are an activist also use another name on THOSE sites as well.
24)
Use a VPN and Gmail to be untraceable...
25)
If you MUST give someone a phone number get a FREE GOOGLE PHONE NUMBER.
26)
ONCE AGAIN DO NOT POST ANYTHING SEXUAL, OR INCRIMINATING ON THE NET AND DONT USE YOUR REAL NAME ANYWHERE.
PERIOD!

 Next, download a low CPU Antivirus

(Download, install and pay for it and use its easy to use VPN)

 Next, go to Control Panel and to Software and uninstall anything you dont want.
Then download and install all of the following
Spybot S&D (let it install TEATIMER!)
The Cleaner (Let it install the plug ins)
 C-Cleaner
MalwareBytes
SpywareBlaster
HijackThis

If your Computer is having a lot of Pop-Ups, is very slow, or anything else these fixes are for you...
Set aside a day on the weekend to do these fixes.

I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU DELETE INTEGRAL PARTS OF YOUR COMPUTER AND YOU SUFFER DATA LOSSES! GET TO KNOW YOUR COMPUTER AND WHAT IS ON IT! IF YOU FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE DO NOTHING!
 
First, run the HijackThis Program and save the logfile to your desktop.
Analyze those results on one of these sites
Look over the resulting file they give you. Take note of the files they labeled NASTY in red  next to them and write down the number letter combo on the left.
Next, look over the orange UNKNOWN entries. ANYTHING that looks familiar to you (if its a program you use regularly) don't do anything with. Everything ELSE? Write the FILE NAME (IE, JUST the highlighted part, for example: C:\WINDOWS\System32\getuinit.exe) down and Google them ALL! Anything that you research that says its a Virus, Trojan, or Spyware write down the number letter combo to the left. Anything you are not comfy with DON'T!



NEXT!!!!!!!!
Next, shut off System Restore, then reboot into Safe Mode With Networking. Run 'Disc Clean Up'! Checking off Temp Internet Files, Temp Files, Recycle Bin. and delete ALL! If you use Firefox or another Browser then IE, empty those caches too.
Go to Control Panel and double click Java, click on General Tab and hit Delete Files (under Temp Internet Files)
If you are feeling brave click on "My Computer">C:/>Windows>Prefetch (Folder) and Delete everything inside.
Re run Hijackthis and carefully check off all the things you wrote down! Click FIX, close the program!
 
NEXT!!!!!!
Run Spybot, then MalwareBytes, then Spywareblaster, then The Trial of "The Cleaner". Delete or Fix what it finds! 
 
NEXT!!!!!!
Run the following Online AV Programs, and delete or fix what it finds!
 
NEXT!!!!!!
Run the C-Cleaner I had you install
Reboot regularly!
Run the two following and take their suggestions:

Re run HijackThis and run the logfile thru the same analyzer found above, is it MUCH cleaner?
Are the pesky popups gone? Is it running faster?
If its still a little slow click START>RUN> Type In msconfig click OKAY, when the window pops up click on the STARTUP tab, carefully look over the entries and uncheck the boxes on things you do not want to load on start-up! BE CAREFUL HERE! You don't wanna screw anything up. IE, Unchecking the boxes of Instant Messaging Software is FINE and will not cause issues, but unchecking the box of your mouse software WILL cause issues!
HOPEFULLY this page will fix MOST Spyware related issues!
If not, go to the Paltalk room PCTECH and ask the Techies there!
Then DOWNLOAD The FIREFOX Browser or CHROME and never use Internet Explorer again!
It will save you going thru this again!
Turn back on the System Restore after its fully clean!

And GUESS what a pedophile can find out and exploit JUST from all this PROUDNESS you stupidly put up on AOL/or the Newsgroups for ALL to see! That Pedophile now has Your kids name, Address (from looking up your last name on Yahoo using your general area) and where she goes to school! Then all they have to do is follow your darling to school and say to her, "Shania! Hi! Ill bet you don't remember me, I know your parents! Yeah, they told me you were a gifted student and that your brother Evan is walking now! what is he 2 now? Want a ride home from school? I'm going to see your Daddy anyway!"
