What you see above is a still shot from the movie Rocketman, depicting Manager Ray Williams, handing Bernies envelope of lyrics to Reg Dwight (Elton John).
You can see an American Sheriff Badge that Bernie drew on the envelope. Inside is written "SHERIFF BERNIE"... This actually happened. The real envelope had the same thing.
Bernies Mum Daphne, instilled in Bernie a love of books and history. Bernie always took that history out outside with him when he played outside with his brothers and friends.
Bernie and Elton have always said that when they got together it was as if they were little boys going on an adventure.
So, how is this an Easter Egg?
Well, both Bernie and Elton dressed up as Cowboys when they were little
And inside Bernies Song Book "The one who writes the words...." there is this cute picture, of 2 little boys dressed as Cowboys...
So just like they are Captain Fantastic and The Brown Dirt Cowboy, they also were make believe western Sheriffs and Cowboys....... And is you look at old pics you will see a Sheriffs Badge. And it always makes me smile....
