When I was a little girl we had very few tabloids at the supermarket.

We did not have any Tv shows dedicated to Celebrity Gossip

Tv stopped airing programming at 2-3 am and came back on at 5-6am.
I grew up when cable Tv was just starting.
Regular Tv had 4 channels on VHF and about 5 on UHF.
My Aunt and Uncle had a remote controlled Tv, but it was a wired remote, on a 10 foot wire with 4 buttons.

News focused on important factual info of the day.

Most people were educated and informed about politics, civics and news.

When the Democratic President was assassinated, the entire nation mourned, not just Dems.

How did we go to being unified and educated to divided and dumb?

I recall being little when the brainwashing and dividing began...

When I was little a Tv show started popping up called PM or Evening Magazine by Nancy Glass (a Trump contributor), It covered lifestyle news and a sprinkling of Celeb Gossip. It was on immediately following the nightly national news at 7:00pm. After awhile, a new show came on at 7:30pm called Entertainment Tonight (created by yet another Conservative) serving up nothing but Celeb News. Then due to President Reagans love of opulence, and hatred of the Poor, a man named Robin Leach popped up.
Robin Leach sold us on the Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous...
Robin Leach is a Naturalized US Citizen and a Republican.

Dallas and Dynasty

Soon, in addition to National Enquirer, we had Star, People, Us, The Sun, and The Weekly World News.

We need to go back a bit...

National Enquirer started as a PRO-FACIST newspaper in 1926 by republicans. National Enquirer also owns Star, The Sun, The Globe, The Examiner and the now defunct Weekly World News.

All 6 tabloids have put out nothing put disinfo and conspiracies to help the destruction of Americans, and the promotion of paranoid conspiracies.
This was helped along by Rush Limbaugh in 1984 going live on air in California.
Rush's agenda was to destroy truth on the radio and brainwash Americans against Liberalism, by promoting crazy conspiracies and ramping up the faux patriotism.
He soon had other political tabloid shows joining him.

In the late 90s a lot of liberal news anchors quit (including Maria Shriver) cause they were being forced to report on celebrities. Most real liberals dont follow celebrity gossip.

 

The Weekly World News and The Sun. BOTH were concocted to spread disinfo and create the start of the Conspiracy Industry to vulnerable ignorant housewives at the grocery store.
Since I had therapy years ago, Im more able to see the US Population for what they are.
There are the very smart, the very dumb and the blobs that float thru life in between.
The blobs are those wide eyed morons that you see at stores during snow days buying up all the eggs and milk for a 2 inch snow forecast. Cause they believe everything on the news.

The Royal family are very conservative, this is why the Queen will NEVER intercede to get rid of Fleet Street. Even after Diana died due to tabloids and Harrys marriage was stressed.

The Royal family, The Celeb Gossip and Conspiracy industries CANNOT SURVIVE in a liberal world.

People always say that the Queen has no power but thats a lie. She has tons of power and she could destroy fleet street if she wanted to.

Just 300 yrs ago the royal family was beheading people and using torture devices on its subjects and starving people. All this CHARITY nonsense came as a result of a need to survive in a modern world.
The Queen believes that she is one of the 12 lost tribes of Israel. She thinks she is part of British Israelism.
AKA one of the Chosen people. Its an ultra conservative belief. British Israelism adherents believe that the UK and America are Jacobs birthright and belong to them. They believe Jews are not the real chosen ones but THEY ARE.
So in spite of Diana dying and Harry being hurt, The Queen will never get rid of Fleet street as Fleet street serves the purpose of protecting the conservative beliefs of them being the chosen people of Israel.

The name "Fox News" is a trademark. It doesnt mean TRUE NEWS. In the late 1990s Fox News was sued by a woman about facts on tv and Fox had to admit they were an Entertainment channel and not for real news.

Reality Tv was created to replace Soap Operas

Soon Regular News became ultra sensational to compete with Reality Tv, Celeb Gossip Shows and Hyped up Political Radio.

Everything was BREAKING NEWS

The media hypes things up to maddening degrees. Some of these news outlets look for issues where there is none, expressly to get more eyeballs on their screens. When I was little "Breaking News" meant we were going to war or the President had been shot. Now it means that "Paris Hilton is heading to jail" or "OJ Simpsons going down the freeway"...The media hyped up the Ebola thing to dizzying degrees beyond science and sanity (body fluid passing Viruses cannot morph into airborne viruses, yet this was falsely reported numerous times) and a nation which has PTSD from 9-11 was sent over the edge. When Don Lemon is on CNN asking experts in Aviation about the possibility that MH370 was abducted by aliens, we have lost the national plot of rationality. 

 

 

When an interview on our Govt spying on us gets pre-empted to show a live shot of Justin Bieber getting arraigned in court, Celebrity Culture has gone too far.

Believe it or not there is a biological response to all this hyped up news and drama. When we watch all this "stuff" we release adrenaline when we see scary things on tv, this causes us not to think rationally due to the Flight or Fight response. When we cant think rationally we overreact and do stupid things or go to Iraq for 9-11...

The real issue here is still RACISM...When white people donate millions to the legal fund of a man who shot an unarmed black teen in Florida, we have a problem. When the white Koch brothers infiltrate the Tea Party with spurilous and ridiculous allegations (Kenya, Muslim, Commie, Death Panels etc) to dilute Obamas authority, we have a problem. When we have numerous white politicians saying racist things against Obama (our legally elected President) we have a HUGE issue...

Racism still exists...However there is another issue not being discussed.
Classism...The OWS demonstrations in Zucchoti Park in NYC were going exceedingly well, until JP MORGAN made a $4.5 million donation to the NYPD, shortly thereafter the NYPD raided Zucchoti Park and killed the OWS movement, all the while the rich bankers were laughing from their balconies with champagne in hand. Why trust CIVIL SERVANTS who are easily paid off to overthrow our civil liberties?
In the old days a man could get a job that would feed his family and send his kids to college for life into old age. He was a proud man knowing his job was secure.
Crime occurs when people have no jobs or pride in themselves or their communities.
The rich have sold America to the Chinese and now instead of Americans having security and pride they are being sold the BLING Lifestyle ala Gangsta Rap and Kim Kardashian.
When the corporations in TV are pushing these lifestyles as something to emulate instead of a college education and integrity our country is in huge trouble.
When kids are emulating these lifestyles the cops have a right to be afraid of them. When we see YOUTUBES of teens beating each other up for youtube likes and ad revenues, the cops get militarized to deal with this new normal and OVERREACT to deal with their adrenaline rush. Then innocent kids and people get shot and the nations adrenaline goes up and NOBODY IS RATIONAL...
....and all the while the RICH BANKERS are watching from their balconies laughing with champagne in hand...
Things will not get better until the root of the problem is fixed

In the 70s after womens lib and the sexual revolution and free love and Roe vs Wade,  women were gaining rights. They were going to college, realizing they didnt necessarily need a man to be happy. The mostly white conservative men, were shook!  Studies have shown that white conservative men have a harder time finding romantic and sexual partners. Because they have issues with women, women are thorns in their sides who torture them and thus WOMEN need to be controlled!
So White Conservative Men needed to get rid of UNITED, EDUCATED, SMART WOMEN.

In came the Celebrity Gossip Tv shows, The Rich and Famous shows, Dynasty and Dallas and their catty opulence and then Reality Tv, Leaked Porn Tapes and the ANTI FEMINIST Kim Kardashian types...

 These all fed womens catty base nature of rumors, vanity and competition.

When the celeb gossip culture emerged...for women, gone were the ideas of college and career and men not being as important to happiness and fullfillment. Usher in the destructive effects of TOXIC ONLINE DIS-INHIBITION which came forth to destroy womens confidence, self esteem and worth. Toxic Online Disinhibition is when you abandon all self protective measures online to gain fame or love.

Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton both leaked staged porn tapes to get famous.
Since those tapes emerged, instead of going to school or working up a ladder or even going to theater school, young MOSTLY DUMB women were making sex tapes or posting nude shots on IG. Making the same fish lips and poses.

Kim K and her family were the cataclysmic death of feminism.
They destroyed womens minds and  brought us right back to being seen for just our looks.

In 30 years, women went from bra burning feminists to full time fishpout IG "models"

Its all back to sex and bodies!

 

Next they filled us up with non stop violence, fighting, live cops shows, car chases, aerial videos of horrific shit, Wars, beheadings etc etc etc

We now are adrenaline junkies, we love to watch violence and gore.
